International Applicants

QTAC processes applications for admission to undergraduate courses, selected graduate entry courses and some post-registration courses.  It also processes applications to advanced diploma, diploma and selected certificate courses.

Most applications for postgraduate study should be submitted directly to the tertiary institution but applicants should contact the relevant institution for further information.

How to Apply

QTAC's application methods relate to the category of applicant - Current Year 12, Non-Year 12 or International.

International - Current Year 12

International applicants who are currently completing a Year 12 qualification in Australia can apply through the Twelve to Tertiary online service.

International applicants who are currently completing an Australian Year 12 qualification overseas may also apply through the Twelve to Tertiary online service.

Alternatively, international applicants can apply directly to the international office of each university, or in the case of TAFE Queensland, apply directly to the relevant TAFE Institute.

International - Non-Year 12

International applicants applying on the basis of qualifications other than Australian Year 12 should apply directly to the international office of each university, or in the case of TAFE Queensland apply directly to the relevant TAFE Institute.

Alternatively, international applicants can apply through QTAC in the same way as a Non-Year 12 via the Apply By Web online service or by using the QTAC Tertiary Study Application Form contained in the QTAC Guide.

Please note that offers of tertiary places to international applicants are made directly by the relevant tertiary institutions, not by QTAC.

English Language Proficiency

Courses offered through QTAC are conducted in the English language and require students to be sufficiently proficient in English.  If your first language is not English and you have not previously undertaken either senior schooling or tertiary study where the method of instruction was English, you must demonstrate your English language proficiency.  View more.....
