Enabling Java

QTAC's Online Services are Java programs. To use them, your browser needs to have Java enabled.

NOTE: If you cannot enable your Browser to use Java, you cannot use QTAC's Online Services.


To enable Java, follow the steps below:

Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer 6.0

  1. Select the Tools -> Internet Options... - use the 2 steps shown below.

    1. Select the tools menu. 2. Click Internet Options.

  2. Set the Java and security options - use the 7 steps shown below.

    1. Click on the Security tab.

    2. Select the Internet icon. 3. Click the Custom Level button.

    4. Scroll down to Microsoft VM. 5. Set the Java permissions. 6. Click OK.

    7. A warning box will pop up, click Yes.


Internet Explorer 7

  1. Select Tools -> Internet Options
  2. Click on the Security tab
  3. Select Internet
  4. Select Custom level
  5. Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets - (see below)

       

    4.    Select Enable.
    5.    Custom settings should remain at the default settings - Medium-high (default)
    6.    Click ok.

Netscape

Netscape 7 and higher

  1. Select the Edit -> Preferences... - use the 2 steps shown below.



  2. Set the Java options - use the 3 steps shown below.


Firefox

  1.  Select Tools -> Options

           

 

  2.  Select Content
  3.  Click Enable Java
