The final number of applicants who received an offer. Applicants are counted once only. Their final offer is the only one counted.
Acceptances
The number who, after all offers have been made and all responses to offers have been recorded, have accepted an offer.
Acceptance Rate
The percentage of applicants offered a place who accepted an offer.
Enrolments
The number reported to QTAC by the institution, who were actually enrolled in a course, for which they had previously accepted an offer through QTAC, as at the census date.
Census Date
Prior to 2004-2005 admissions the census date was 31 March for the main admissions period and 31 August for the mid-year admissions period.
From 2004-2005 each institution must set a census date for each unit of study that is no earlier than 20% of the way through the period of time during which the unit is undertaken. Enrolments are reported as at that census date.
Enrolment Rate
The percentage of applicants offered a place who were enrolled at the census date.

Lowest offered OP/rank in the major offer round
The lowest Overall Position (for eligible Queensland Year 12 applicants) and the lowest first order rank (for all other applicants) at which an offer was made in the major offer round.
Median enrolment rank
Main Admissions: The median Overall Position (for eligible Queensland Year 12 applicants) and median first order rank (for all other applicants) of those who were enrolled in the course at the census date.
Mid-year Admissions: The median enrolment rank of those applicants who were enrolled in the course at the census date was calculated using the first order rank. Where the applicant was a current Queensland Year 12 student (completed Year 12 the previous year) who qualified for an Overall Position, that OP has been converted to the equivalent rank at the point of comparison using the relevant schedule.
Overall Position (OP), Field Positions (FP)
The Overall Position is a measure of overall student achievement in Years 11 and 12, expressed as a position on a rank order. It is reported on one of 25 bands, from 1 (the highest) to 25 (the lowest).
Field Positions are a measure of student achievement in certain groups of Board subjects. A student may receive up to five Field Positions reflecting different skills. They are reported on one of 10 bands, from 1 (the highest) to 10 (the lowest). OPs and FPs are calculated by the Queensland Studies Authority (QSA) (Board of Senior Secondary School Studies (BSSSS) prior to 1 July 2002), from which further information can be obtained.
Queensland 17-year-olds
Figures for this population are based on Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) censal, postcensal and intercensal figures and estimates. Figures shown in the table "Comparative Analysis of Queensland Year 12 Applications" are the estimated figures obtained from the ABS by Admissions Centres each year that are used as the basis for calculating secondary schedules.
Region, School Region
Region classifications are based on ABS statistical divisions. The postcode of an applicant's permanent residence, or in the case of Year 12 school region analyses the postcode of the school's physical address, is used for this purpose. 'Brisbane' covers Brisbane City and the defined Brisbane urban area, extending to Caboolture and Logan Rivers and including Ipswich City. The 'Moreton' division is subdivided into two sections; the 'Moreton North' region covers Esk to Noosa, the 'Moreton South' region covers Gatton to Coolangatta.
The postcode range for each region is:

Highest entry qualification
The highest entry qualification is based generally on the degree of difficulty of the qualification and its normal entry prequisites. This categorisation may not always be strictly hierarchical, for example an applicant who has an incomplete advanced diploma with a high grade point average may have a higher rank than someone with an incomplete bachelor's degree with a lower grade point average. The final four categories of the classification are necessarily "grey" areas in terms of one being "higher" than the next.
